Converts
This documentary portrait project explores the lives of individuals who have undergone a religious conversion at some point in their lives. Through intimate photographs and conversations, it looks at spiritual transformation not as a fixed destination, but as an ongoing search for meaning and belonging.
These stories open windows into questions of identity, culture, and nationality, revealing how faith can anchor and unsettle a person’s sense of self. At the same time, the project examines the broader theme of religious freedom—how the ability to choose one’s spiritual path shapes lives in ways that are deeply personal yet universally resonant.
Through these portraits, I seeks to illuminate the complexity and humanity behind moments of spiritual, religious and cultural change.
